Habitat Check Presentation

Lee Curtis with Habitat for Humanity was on hand at the November GRCC meeting to receive a check for $1000.00.
The club raised money through a fund raiser held Sept.22 at Texas Roadhouse in Quincy raising $484.00. At the October meeting it was decided that the club would
add the difference to make it an even $1000.00.

QUEST (Quincy Equestrian/services & Therapy) is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. We rescue abused, neglected, and unwanted horses. We rehabilitate them and use them for therapeutic riding for handicap children and adults. Everyone involved at QUEST, including our PATH certified riding instructors, are volunteers. Volunteers at QUEST can also be special needs and work along side other helpers. In addition to therapeutic riding sessions QUEST also does numerous camps throughout the year for children of all abilities.

The horses that come to QUEST require about a year to get back a healthy body and spirit. With lots of love and care from volunteers we are able to transform sick, frightened horses into beautiful, happy, productive horses again. Some horses fit in our therapy program, some are adopted to wonderful families than we determine are the perfect match for our rescue horse.

All expenses at QUEST are met by fund-raising, our wonderful supportive friends, service organizations, and grants. We also do beginning horsemanship riding at a small cost to help offset expenses.

Thank you all so very much for your support! QUEST could not exist with the support from caring people like you. Visit us on facebook or queststables.com. Call me anytime to come visit at 242.6367

God bless you all, Terry
